Minutes for Long and Crooked Lakes Association Meeting

August 26, 2007

Meeting Called to order 6:00 p.m.

Introductions

Old Business:

 1.  Slot limit update.  This is one of the first studies for bass and northern pike on a small lake.  Should help fish population. DNR will do another fish study in 3 years, and then in 5 years.  That will be the conclusion of the 10 year slot limit.   Then we will be able to determine if it is making a difference.

 2.  Beavers – The DNR took a fair amount of beavers off the area this past winter (2006-2007).  Seems like the water level is more consistent in the spring.

 3.  Photo Contest.  We will be doing another photo contest.  Pictures need be taken within the last year.  More info on website.
