Long & Crooked Lakes Association Board of Directors Meeting, August 29, 2017

1.       The meeting was called to order by Ken Bachofer at 6:32 pm

2.       The meeting minutes of the August 8, 2017 Board of Directors meeting were approved.

3.       Annual meeting discussion

a.       Agenda topics and assignments were reviewed.  Ken will create final agenda and request Doug Kantor to post on website.

b.       Dredging channel between lakes.

                                                               i.      No further information since August 8 meeting.  Dick will continue to research but it will not be a topic at the Annual Meeting.

c.       Use of Chemicals for weed control in Environmental Lakes

                                                               i.      Dick has not received a response from DNR.  It will be an agenda topic for next BoD meeting but will not be brought up at Annual Meeting

d.       Procuring door prizes for annual meeting

4.       Anne Ackerman asked if we plan to form a Lake Improvement District.  This was tabled until the next BoD meeting.  Dan will research what is necessary to establish a Lake Improvement District.

5.       Other new business

a.       LCLA Annual Meeting Flyer needs to be more flamboyant, e.g. larger (8x10, in color).

b.       We need an LCLA Letterhead.  To accomplish this, we need a graphic designer.  No one had a person that came to mind.

c.       We need to have 3 signs announcing the Annual Meeting posted at the three roads accessing the lakes.  Judie and Dave will look into getting something this year.
